One excited 8 year old settled in for a week of summer camp.
I wish I could have read her mind because she said several times
"this is not what I expected" which surprised me because
it was everything I expected,
so i keep wondering what had she been picturing?

well, i envisioned my first sleepaway camp to be EXACTLY like the Parent Trap (original.)
hmmm... not quite. but i went back for four years, and as a counselor for two. i loved it! i hope she does, too.
Interesting...I hope it ends up being better than she expected.
How fun. I used to do Episcopal over night camp in the summer - I think you have to be going into 4th grade. I hope Luci will do it one day too.
Which camp is she at? Or better, tell us after it's over if you worry about security like I do.
