Promotion Sunday
Maples Memorial Methodist Church
......
Carly along with the other rising 3rd graders were presented with Bibles during the morning Worship Service. They were all so serious standing in front of the church....so grown up. They were attentive to the preacher (John Sudduth) as he encouraged them to use their new Bibles at home, during Sunday School and during the Worship Service. He talked about the important responsibility of being a "bearer" of the word.

Kim Sue, I'm SO glad you captured this moment! I remember when they used to give us Gideon Bibles in grade school (yes, I know, that would never happen today, but that was then :) and how lucky I felt to be holding my very own.

Oh this age is so scary. It is when they really start growing up.
She is so cute and looks so happy.

Now when she is a teenager you can pull that pic up and show her how "perfect" and innocent she was...

We have a pic of all our girls on their 8 year old baptism day, holding their scriptures also, and always remind them of how they must remember their promises to God.

Such a beautiful picture and daughter of yours. So sweet.
