SPT - What was I thinking?

Lelly's challenge.....
for tuesday, april 15th, the challenge is to provide a photo for the following caption:
..... "what was i thinking?!?"
.....
"what was I thinking?"

Well, I was thinking, Mommy has to go to work so......

Carly's school had a vacation day on Monday. It was not a good day for me to take a vacation, so Carly got to go to work with me! Carly did fine. She brought all kind of goodies, but it just isn't much fun to be confined to a desk for 5 1/2 hours. And even though she was good it does seem to throw a kink into my routine. I think "going to work" exhausted her. She even fell asleep in the car on the way home. Today, back to school for Carly!

It is funny how sometimes our good intentions leave us scratching our heads sometime.
I am sure she will have fun memories of going to work with "momma"

Back in the day before I became a stay at home mom, we had bring your kid to work day.. I worked for a Credit Union & kids & money sometimes turned out scary...
Thank goodness she gets to be a kid and go to school & have fun... :)

I can relate to this! Kids only have so much of an attention span. It was probably a good experience anyway.

That's cool that you could bring her, but I can definitely see the kinking possibilities. We're having spring break this week and I'm feeling lost. How sad is that?

Even though it may have thrown you off course...I'm sure Carly loved being with Mom!

You are lucky that you have the option of bringing her with you when needed.

I try to get work done at home and it's impossible. I can't imagine taking my little ones to a job--I'd never get anything done. I think it's great that you took your daughter with you. I'm sure she'll have great memories of it.

Taking Luci to work with me exhausts ME as well as her. I feel like we are packing for an extended trip when she goes with me for a day - raisins, Capri Suns, sketh books, ipod, pillow, stuffed animals. . .
I love taking my kids to work with me but am glad that only usually happens once a month or so!

You are certainly braver than I am! I once had to have my kids at work for about 20 minutes because of conflicting schedules and I thought I was going to die!

That is nice that you have an option to bring Carly with you. My kids ask to go to work with Jason all the time. I think it is more to get away from me!

Even it didn't turn out as "the perfect day", it is definitely nice that you had the option of bringing Carly with you to school. Did she miss you like crazy when you were in Italy?! I'm still enjoying your pictures so much. They all look like postcards.
